Super Bowl Party Shooting
Early Monday morning, 49ers defensive end Keion White was shot in the ankle at Dahlia’s nightclub in San Francisco. The shooting happened around 4:06 A.M. during a private event White was hosting. According to a witness speaking with the San Francisco Standard, Lil Baby’s crew attempted to enter White’s private party. This led to an argument between White and the Atlanta rapper. While the witness went to get management, two gunshots were heard. Upon returning, the witness found White bleeding. Another partygoer reported hearing four shots.
Investigation Details
San Francisco police arrived at the scene to find several topless adult entertainers still picking up dollar bills from the floor. The police report noted the presence of “numerous scantily clad females.” Keion White reportedly did not cooperate with police when asked about the shooter. He is currently receiving treatment at a local hospital, according to the 49ers. Authorities recovered a 9mm shell casing and a .45-caliber casing at the scene. They also secured surveillance footage and found an abandoned phone.
Lil Baby’s Presence
Social media posts from the party showed Lil Baby present at Dahlia’s nightclub. The Grammy-winning rapper had performed in San Francisco the previous Sunday night. The 49ers released a statement confirming White was a victim of a shooting and sustained a bullet wound to his ankle. San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie also addressed the incident on X, calling any violent incident in the city unacceptable. He stated he had spoken with SFPD and 49ers leadership.
