Exclusive: 50 Cent Faces Legal Stalemate Amidst New Diss Tracks

Rap News4 hours ago0 comments

50 Cent is currently navigating two separate situations making headlines. In one, he’s entangled in a legal dispute over life rights with his ex, Shaniqua Tompkins, as reported by HotNewHipHop. Meanwhile, the rap veteran is also at the center of a new feud, with King and Domani dropping diss tracks against him, according to XXL. This latest cent news shows 50 Cent dealing with both ongoing legal battles and emerging hip-hop conflicts.

G-Unit Books Lawsuit Update

The ongoing legal cent news involving 50 Cent and his ex, Shaniqua Tompkins, is hitting a roadblock. A Manhattan commercial court has ruled that 50 Cent’s team has not provided enough proof to secure a $1 million default judgment. This case stems from a life rights agreement Tompkins signed with G-Unit Books back in 2007. However, Tompkins has recently claimed she was forced to sign the agreement. She stated that 50 Cent’s former manager, Chris Lighty, allegedly threatened her into signing.

Furthermore, 50 Cent’s team argues the agreement was fair. The G-Unit mogul sued Tompkins last year, accusing her of violating the contract. He believes her interviews and socialmedia posts about their past relationship breached the terms, according to 50 Cent, this information should have exclusively belonged to G-Unit Books. The agreement allegedly gave G-Unit Books broad control over Tompkins’ life story and likeness. In exchange, she reportedly received an $80,000 advance and the promise of royalties from a planned book. However, the court’s current decision means 50 Cent will need to find more evidence to support his case, as reported by HotNewHipHop.

New Diss Tracks Emerge

Additionally, 50 Cent is facing new lyrical attacks from King and Domani. The duo released two diss tracks on their Instagram pages. This came after 50 Cent seemingly targeted T.I. and the Harris family on the theme song for his show, Power Origins. King’s diss track, titled “Droptop.” criticizes 50 Cent for talking too much and makes accusations of domestic violence. He raps, “You were made from 50 Cent because ya mama gave it cheap.”

Meanwhile, Domani dropped a track called “PU$Y.” On the song, he questions 50 Cent’s tough image. Domani raps, “I smell py/How about you come here and try to push me/That suga water got ya, now you turn sweet, huh/I smell py/Nia, I read you like a book read/Come bring ya as to school quit playin’ hookie/I smell py.” This exchange is a response to lyrics from the Power Origins theme song. In it, 50 Cent rapped, “Your daddy made your mama eat every box in Atlanta.” 50 Cent further fueled the fire by posting a photoshopped image of T.I. and Tiny. This action seemed to confirm the lyrics were directed at the Harris family
